I Want To Be A Sailor Girl…
I’m so excited have you seen all the new collections for next spring season. We went shopping at the Trafford centre & I was surrounded by a style I’ve adopted since my early teens it’s the fishermans stripe HIP HIP HURRAY…. The stripes were everywhere in the shops & I started to make gasping noises and to look at them with a passion one only uses to look at her loved one.
So my plan is to buy so much so it can last me for years to come, I also did a sneaky smile when we walked past selfridges and I saw the Chanel counter I always look in awe & when I see the Chanel counter I transport into another world. I bought some high waisted skinny fit denim pedal pushers that I can wear with flats and any stripey top.
Since being young I have always remembered my love of sailor things, I even begged my mum to make me a sailor suit little jacket with skirt and she did because she is a very talented seamstress. The only down fall is that she also made my younger sister 6yrs younger the same outfit. I kicked up such a fuss as I was determined we were never to wear it at the same time.
The other time I remember was my fond holidays to Cornwall and in the shops they had proper stripe sailor tops but alas we were to poor to afford them but the inspiration they was free free free. And I think when I first saw the French Chanel line thats when I fell in love as I was unaware of how big a brand was as I was far to young. But I would be amazed at the beautiful clothes and of course the sailor stripes. I know that Coco herself was inspired by the sailor stripes and inspired her so I suppose that is a compliment in it’s self.. What inspires you?
Today we have guests and I have to get going as dinner isnt going to make itself… Au revior xxxx
